This dried herb can be used as an infusion or a decoction to provide the body with many vitamins and minerals including calcium, magnesium and silica. These minerals make Oatstraw beneficial for muscle function, connective tissue and the skin, hair, teeth and nails. Oatstraw is a great uplifting nerve tonic and is very useful for people under long term stress.
50gm or 100g of herb in resealable paper bag.
Use 1 teaspoon of herb per cup of boiling water. Place in a infuser, teapot or strainer & infuse for 3 - 10 minutes.
If making a decoction, it is nice to add a slice of lemon and a piece of fresh root ginger to the pot while the herb is simmering. Simmer for 20 minutes, strain and enjoy. Any excess can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
