Ginkgo is the world's oldest living tree species dating to the Permian period, 200 million years ago. Ginkgo has a long history of traditional use is as a brain tonic and may enhance memory, increase blood flow, regulate nerve responses and boost oxygen levels in the brain. Other possible uses for ginkgo could include: help with dizziness, headaches, short-term memory loss, depression and other symptoms resulting from poor blood circulation.
Caution with using ginkgo if taking anticoagulant or anti-platelet medication.
